My approach begins with building a strong therapeutic relationship and taking the time to understand you and what brings you to therapy. From there, we work together to better understand the patterns affecting you, develop practical ways of responding to challenges, and identify changes that align with what matters to you. I tailor therapy to each person, taking into account the broader context of their life and experiences rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
I have a particular interest in working with Black and racialized clients and providing a space where culture and identity can be meaningfully incorporated into therapy. I welcome conversations about the ways that race, family, community, spirituality, migration, and other aspects of your lived experience may shape how you understand yourself and the concerns that bring you to therapy. If you’re wondering whether we might be a good fit, I welcome you to reach out by sending a message to psychology@sandraosazuwa.com or fill out the form below to arrange a brief consultation.
