Meera Lakhani-Winsor

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Located In: Vancouver
Session Format: In-person, Online

Bio: As a racialized settler originally from Pakistan, I am interested in holding space for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Persons of Colour) community. My primary focus is to curiously and compassionately meet you where you are at in your lives’ journey and support you through validation and empowerment. Through my casual and supportive style, my hope is to create a warm space where you feel safe and heard and where you can work towards your therapy goals without fear or judgement. As a client centered, anti-oppressive, justice oriented and trauma informed therapist, I recognize the importance of collaboration, safety and authenticity and aim to weave them into all my sessions. I strive to approach all my clients with cultural humility and respect and am always open to learning and unlearning. Therapy can be political, and I welcome honest and difficult conversations. I value and advocate for wellness and self-compassion and continue to work on them myself. It is important to me that counselling support is accessible to all who seek it and therefore, I am offering a discounted rate for folx who would otherwise not be able to access it. There are limited spots available, please connect with the Intake Coordinator for more information. If you identify as BIPOC and would like to book a free consultation to see how our fit feels for you, please ask for me, Meera, in your communication with our intake team.
