Bio: As a South Asian female therapist, I understand that you may have been raised in a family where you didn’t talk about feelings or your mental health. As a result, you may feel anxious or uncomfortable reaching out. As your counsellor, I am here to support you at your pace, in a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space, in-person and online. I create a culturally sensitive space where we can explore your identity, self-talk, self-worth, and more. You may want to unpack how your upbringing impacted you or your relationship with your immigrant parents. As an immigrant in Canada, I understand some of the unique challenges immigrants may experience in a new country, culture, and community. On the one hand, you or your parents may have assimilated into the mainstream Western culture, but you may also find belonging and comfort in practicing your own culture. I work with individuals who feel like they don’t belong, and as a result, they feel lonely, sad, and sometimes depressed. As a counsellor, I work with you to strengthen your relationship with yourself, cultivate self-kindness, and patience with yourself. Reach out today and book a free 15-minute consultation. Let’s have a chat about how I can support you and whether I might be a good fit. I understand that it is not easy to reach out, but please know that you are in good hands. If I am not able to support you, I will do my best to find someone else who can.
