Bio: As a second-generation Caribbean-Canadian, I carry with me the richness and complexity of my cultural heritage. Growing up with the beauty of community, faith, and resilience—while also navigating the rigid expectations and unspoken cultural nuances of Caribbean traditions—has shaped both who I am and how I practice. These experiences allow me to hold space for the layered realities my clients bring into therapy, particularly those balancing multiple identities, cultural expectations, and personal growth. Because of this, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. I work with individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or navigating life transitions, as well as those managing sadness, trauma, anxiety, depression, or seeking healthier relationships. My practice is rooted in culturally responsive and gender-affirming care, with an emphasis on honoring the diverse identities and lived experiences you bring into our sessions. With five years of experience in mental health as a social worker and case manager, I have worked extensively with individuals navigating depression, grief, trauma, and identity-related challenges. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on family systems, cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed practices. Having collaborated with Youth Advisory Councils and contributed to initiatives focused on 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth, I am committed to embedding equity, Truth and Reconciliation, and trauma-informed care into service delivery. Taking the first step toward therapy is an act of courage, and I am here to walk alongside you on this path. Together, we will identify practical tools and strategies to help you overcome obstacles and build your desired life. If you feel ready to explore how we can work together, I invite you to reach out.
