
I am a trauma focused counsellor who works with you to resolve recent or historical trauma experiences : mental, physical, emotional, relationship, childhood or environmental.
The relationship between the counsellor and client is one of the biggest predictors of change so my practice is deeply relational and non-judgemental. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Somatic techniques (Polyvagal), Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.
I help you build safety, confidence and relief in your whole body (not just your mind). I adapt my approach to meet my client’s needs. Every client is unique and so is my approach. I will challenge you; encourage you and build your resilience + capacity for the future. My clients notice change in a few sessions.
