
We would shift these patterns through understanding thought processes, create connections with your emotions to express them safely, and get in touch with your body. Emphasis would be on emotional safety, collaboration, and nervous system regulation. We would focus on how your system learnt to survive relational pain and how to build safer ways of relate.
As a clinical supervisor, my focus is on the person of the clinician, as much as their clinical skills because who we are influences how we show up in the therapeutic space. I take on a relational style; so, my hope is to transition from a guide to a companion in the supervisory relationship to facilitate and encourage independence in supervisees.
