Bio: My name is Erin and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist who is passionate about improving the mental health of BIPOC folks and our communities. The psychotherapy I offer is grounded in an awareness and understanding of BIPOC experiences as well as a commitment to providing anti-oppressive, compassionate, and culturally meaningful care. I work with clients who feel stuck or unsure about the path they’re on in life as well as those who may find it difficult as they navigate challenges in one or more of the relationships in their life. I also support those dealing with day-to-day stress, various forms of burnout and overwhelm, loss or grief, periods of adjustment following big life changes as well as painful past experiences and immigration experiences. Additionally, I work with couples and families looking for a supportive place to talk about difficult topics together and those hoping to find both effective and meaningful ways to work through times of stress, conflict, or change together. My approach incorporates the psychobiological principles of attachment, stress, and trauma with cognitive-behavioural and relational therapy strategies to support your ability to process and resolve symptoms of emotional, relational, or traumatic forms of stress. Through an identity-affirming and 2SLGBTQI+ affirming approach to therapy, I tailor what I do in our sessions to support your unique journey towards a greater sense of balance and wellness. Creating meaningful change can be empowering and feel deeply satisfying. My hope is that as we work together, you can see and feel the impact of positive change in your mental health while you build insight, clarity, and greater capacity.
