My practice is a space where together, we’ll find a reconnection to your inner resources for growth and healing. I’d be honoured to support you as we walk through the difficult stuff, in a safe, compassionate environment which is essential for growth and transformation. We’ll collaborate to create a life that resonates with your deepest hopes, free of limiting self-doubt.
The human experience involves continuous challenges… and our childhood and family transgenerational history are present in our bodies. Start the journey today towards an integrated, grounded sense of self.
Perhaps you may want to explore life transitions like grief, or intimate relationships. Or you want to reconnect with your ancestry and identify life-long patterns of behaviour going back through generations. Our bodies hold narratives that may manifest as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression or behaviours that impact our sense of self and our relationships.
I work in both Spanish & English and use a body-centered approach to the resolution of trauma supported by research, and art expression as vehicles for transformation. My clients experience our work as a powerful, yet gentle process in which they find it easier to engage in deep explorations.
I am a Mexican-Canadian human impacted by various types of trauma. I am the child of African-Mexicans descendent of slaves, and Eastern European Jews, whose families perished during the Holocaust. My personal history inform my deep understanding of the interconnections of gender, ethnicity, violence, trauma and mental health, and impact how I support others in their healing.
The main three psychotherapeutic modalities I use in my practice are: Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT), Somatic Experiencing® (SE) and Attachment Theory. In integrating these methods, my clients experience our work as a powerful, yet gentle process in which they find it easier to engage in deep explorations.
An important portion of my clinical practice is working with childhood developmental trauma, attachment and transgenerational trauma.
I have been privileged to work and live in First Nations communities in Canada and Mexico. These experiences gifted me with witnessing the resilience and wisdom of those communities who have survived transgenerational and intergenerational trauma.
In my practice I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental environment where we can integrate the deep wisdom of the body, spirit and mind, in a culturally appropriate way.
Let’s explore together the endless possibilities towards a life worth living.
