Bio: Hi, I’m Assia (she/her), a second-generation Algerian therapist and registered social worker based in Ontario. I offer sliding scale options, and racialized folks experiencing financial hardship will be prioritized for these spots. My work is shaped by a deep respect for how identity, culture, and life experience influence healing and connection. I’ve supported individuals working through trauma, life transitions, and complex relationships, with a focus on community-based mental health. As a therapist, I aim to bring a warm, collaborative, playful, and grounded presence to our work together. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and anti-oppressive, with a strong commitment to cultural humility and intersectionality. I believe therapy should feel like a safe and respectful space where your story is met with care and openness. Whether you are looking for short-term support or a space to explore things more deeply, I would be honoured to accompany you through your journey.
