Bio: Community Resilience Educator and Anti-Oppressive Leadership Coach
Hi, I’m Daniela (she/they)!
I am a queer, Latinx immigrant, eldest daughter, and recovering caregiver based in so-called Vancouver. I hold a Master of Education in Arts for Social Change, 20 years of frontline mental health experience, and 6 years in leadership development. My anti-oppressive leadership coaching draws on trauma-informed, land-informed, and creative practice.
You’ve done the DEI trainings, read the books, and shown up for the work. Yet somewhere along the way, you burnt out – watching governments swing right, funding disappear, and systems get worse – while you kept giving more.
What if the problem isn’t your commitment? What if the way you learned to create change carries the same colonial, capitalist logic you’re trying to dismantle?
As an anti-oppressive leadership coach in so-called Vancouver, I support burnt-out changemakers through the shame and grief of “doing everything right.” Together we build a practice of liberation that is reciprocal, sustainable, and transformational. We use land-informed relationships as a blueprint for reimagining how we relate to ourselves, each other, and the land itself. That shifts how you show up – so that you aren’t only resisting the systems you’re fighting but actively building new ones, while building resilience for the crises we are already living in.
My coaching is for people who believe the we and the land are interconnected, know that social transformation starts with the self, and want support building a practice that reflects both.
I also facilitate Inclusive Community Preparedness workshops – so you don’t have to hold this work alone, but can bring your community into practice with you.
