As much as we may be capable of reigniting the power of our agency, recognizing the limits to that also highlights the agency of where we can meet others meaningfully.
Along with a Master’s of Counselling Psychology: Art Therapy and a Bachelor of Media Arts, my education includes several counselling modalities and the ways that the creative process can be cultivated for the purposes of expression and insight.
In my practice, I bring with me the experience of working in a maximum security facility and the downtown east side, which means recognizing the possibilities of healing whether or not you have been harmed or caused harm. In tandem with my experience in working in clinics that specialized in liberation and sex therapy, my scope spans several relational conflicts including infidelity, abuse, codependence, divorce, and sexual concerns.
I identify as a queer, racialized person, a survivor of violence, and a survivor of abuse. Along with that, I also identify as someone who has caused harm, a man, and a settler. I’m both a victim and not one. In identifying as such, I recognize the power in seeing anyone with compassion, which also includes the responsibility and accountability we are inherently beholden to with others.
