According to social rules and expectations, I did most things backwards! I returned to school in my early thirties to obtain my bachelor’s degree in nursing, I came out as queer in my late 30’s, and decided to attend graduate school, marry my wife and become a mother all in my 40’s.
Negotiating the pressure of external expectations and life’s responsibilities while striving to live in a way that reflects my deepest values has taught me how complex the path to authenticity can be. Often, the greatest challenge is not simply discovering who we are, but learning how to remain true to ourselves while preserving the integrity of the relationships that matter most. Balancing our own needs, values, and boundaries with our desire for connection can feel deeply uncertain, and there are rarely simple answers. It would be my honour to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect as you navigate the tensions, choices, and relationships that shape your life.
In my everyday life, I lovingly hold the roles of auntie, big sister, daughter, loyal friend, wife, and mother. I am an extroverted introvert who feels recharged and revitalized after spending quality time outdoors and with loved ones.
