Bio: Hello! My name is Tasleem (she/they), and I am a student therapist at Playback Psychology. I bring warmth, curiosity, and collaboration into the therapy space. I pay attention to the ways family, relationships, culture, and their intersections shape how we understand ourselves and our experiences.

I value feminist and narrative perspectives and deeply care about relational-cultural approaches. In practice, this means I am a feminist, someone who values the stories we hold, and the ways relationships nurture us. I am inspired by evidence-based interventions such as mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). One of my core values is providing culturally responsive and client-centred care that honours your lived experiences and your preferences for the future. Especially, I hope to work with queer people of colour. Navigating the world can be so hard, and especially so when we may belong to many different communities. I come from a background of crisis support which has helped me gain some familiarity with a wide range of concerns.

Outside of therapy, I am an enjoyer of all things cozy and comforting. I enjoy soft mornings filled with music or an audiobook and several cups of very sweet coffee. I love trying new food places around the city and adore a nice bookshop to wander through. I have been a lifelong enjoyer of art and have been knitting since my middle school days.
