Bio: I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor working from an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and harm reductive approach that considers collective and community healing. I live and work as a settler on the unceded and stolen territory of the Lekwungen speaking people.

I identify as a queer, non-disabled, Hāfu, cis-woman and I strive to bring art, creativity, and embodiment to my practice. In our sessions together, you can expect gentle affirmation and validation of your lived experiences with incorporation of the structural and systemic factors that impact and oppress us.

Outside of counselling, I am a creative writer, a nature and animal lover, a community organizer, and a fledgling painter. I live with two cats (allergy alert for in-person sessions), and run a campaign school for underrepresented people. I have a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on leadership and communication.

The approaches that are most aligned with me:

Narrative therapy – exploring our stories and beliefs as external to our identities
Parts work – working with different parts that may have conflicting feelings or positions
Person-centred therapy – focusing on empathy and unconditional positive regard
Somatics – focusing on connecting mind and body to understand how emotions may show up in our bodies
Arts and creativity – exploring non-verbal ways of knowing and understanding through visual, embodied, or written arts

I would love to work with:

People in leadership positions, whether in politics, labour, arts, or community work
Those involved in making positive change in the world
Queer and racialized folks navigating how to show up as themselves in an often-painful world
People interested in incorporating nature-based therapy
