I work with adults navigating trauma, grief, and the weight of what came before them. Often that includes what was inherited. The expectations. The silences. The survival patterns passed down through families and cultures that had to be strong to get here. As a woman of Vietnamese and Chinese heritage, this is work I understand from the inside as well as from the chair.
My practice is anchored in Internal Family Systems. I hold deep respect for your inner system, including the protective parts that formed with real care and good intention, usually in response to pain. Rather than fighting those parts, we learn to listen to them, and we tend to what has been hurt, silenced, or burdened underneath. I also draw on EMDR and somatic work for what lives in the body or beyond words.
I am a Registered Social Worker and a Certified IFS Level 3 Therapist. I co-chair the IFS Canadian Community Conference and the Canadian IFS Network, so this is a modality I help build in this country, not only one I practise in it.
Sessions are fully virtual across Ontario, from wherever you feel most at ease. If any of this resonates, reach out for a free 15 minute consultation and we can feel out the fit together.
