Bio: Hi, I’m Asma [uhss-ma], a therapist and immigrant settler on Turtle Island and I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, identity questions, and the impacts of culture, migration, and belonging. As an immigrant and therapist, I understand how our struggles are often shaped not only by what we carry within us, but also by the families, communities, and systems we move through.

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and rooted in curiosity, honesty, and respect for your lived experience. I don’t see therapy as a process of fixing what’s wrong with you. Instead, I see it as a space to slow down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and reconnect with yourself in a more compassionate and grounded way.

My clinical experience includes work at CAMH, Women’s College Hospital, the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture, and Naseeha Youth Helpline. I offer therapy in English, Arabic, and French (with English comprehension required), and faith-based therapy is available for Muslim clients who would like their faith woven into our work.
