Pronouns: They/them
Located In: Montréal
Session Format: Online, Telephone

Bio: Hi! I’m Jodie-Ann. I’m a Black, queer, non-binary social worker and community organizer based in Tio’tia:ke (aka Montreal, Quebec). I am passionate about supporting people on their healing journeys, without pathologization, and with a deep recognition of the systemic and structural issues that are informing your lived experience. I know what it is like to be seeking support from a mental health clinician who you don’t feel can fully understand your lived experience, and so I offer my services to my communities from a place of deep love, respect and solidarity.
Weaving in somatic, emotionally-focused and yoga methods, I work using a humanistic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed lens, with a commitment to anti-oppressive and abolitionist practice. I centre the needs of BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ folks in my practice, but I have experience working with many other communities.
Perhaps you’re wanting to build practical emotional regulation and interpersonal skills, address relational, systemic or intergenerational trauma or soothe shame. Or, maybe you’re simply seeking an opportunity to talk through big questions that you have about yourself, your life and those around you. Whatever support you are needing, we can co-create a space to explore with curiosity, ease distress, cultivate self-compassion and ultimately move you closer to your goals.
