I work with second-generation Filipino-Canadian adults who are navigating religious trauma, spiritual abuse, or complicated relationships with faith. Some clients come to therapy after leaving their religion and are processing feelings of loss, fear, or family conflict. Others are trying to reconnect with spirituality in a way that feels authentic and self-directed. Many are simply trying to understand who they are outside of the roles, beliefs, or expectations they grew up with.
Alongside this work, I support clients who feel lost, scattered, or uncertain about their identity and direction in life. Cultural expectations, intergenerational pressures, and past experiences with authority can make it difficult to trust your own voice or sense of self. Therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with what feels true to you, and begin building a life that feels meaningful rather than inherited.
My approach is relational, reflective, and culturally attuned. Together we can explore how faith, culture, family dynamics, and past experiences have shaped you—while making space for new ways of understanding yourself, your beliefs, and your place in the world.
