(pronounced Soo-WEE-thuh)
Registered Psychotherapist

Throughout my lived experience, I have worked through wounds that led me to believe I was alone, awkward, and not cut out for this world. No one promised that things would be easy, but we don’t always imagine that things could feel this hard. We may feel stuck, isolated, unworthy of love, or overcome by sadness or painful experiences. We all get to a point when we feel this way, but it doesn’t mean that we must continue to fight these feelings on our own.

You may be at a point of seeking connection, a better understanding of yourself, and a new perspective. You may also be looking to feel seen, supported, and accepted. Therapy is one avenue for healing, and it can be another way to take care of yourself as you search for a new way of living that aligns with who you are.

I believe that all of us can get to where we want to be when we are met with compassion and acceptance. You are the expert of your life and in our sessions together, we will explore your values, aspirations, emotions, and previous experiences to develop new strategies and perspectives.

I like to approach therapy much like driving; looking forward while still glancing at our rear and side mirrors to know where we are in the present moment. I primarily utilize relational psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment, and somatic therapies. I work from a compassionate and humanistic approach that is culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, neurodivergent-affirming, and trauma informed. My primary areas of focus include Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, body-focused repetitive behaviours, and attachment and relationship concerns.

It’s not easy to reach out for support when you need it and there may be a part of you that wonders if you’re even ready for therapy. That’s okay and that’s completely normal. We’ll work through this together and figure out a journey and a pace that makes sense for you. The first step is to book a 15-minute phone or video consultation through our website, and we’ll chat about what you are looking for from this experience.
