Bio: Hi, I’m Patricia—a bilingual Latinx therapist and registered Social Worker based in Kelowna. With 15 years of experience in mental health, education, and social services, I specialize in trauma and sexualized violence counseling, supporting students, newcomers, and first-generation individuals like myself.
Rooted in my Mexican-Indigenous roots, I blend ancestral wisdom, mindfulness, somatic work, and evidence-based therapies to create a holistic, healing space. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in liberation and decolonization.
As a certified yoga teacher, trained through Susanna Barkataki’s Embrace Yoga’s Roots, I honor yoga’s roots as a practice of social justice and embodied healing. I also facilitate womxn’s circles and wellness workshops to foster community and empowerment.
Outside of work, I find joy in yoga, nature, art, and live music.
Languages: English & Spanish.
