Bio: I am a non-binary, queer, 1.5 generation Chinese-Canadian immigrant settler who live, work and benefit from taking up space on the unceded traditional territories of hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh peoples (colonially known as Burnaby.). I am also a neurodivergen and mentally ill person with middle-class and able-boded privilege. I practice from anti-oppressive and decolonizing approaches to support BIPOC, trans, queer, disabled, neurodivergent, and parenting communities. My approach in exploring people’s experiences is anti-carceral, anti-binary and nuanced. My intention is to create a space where people’s experiences and identities are honoured through openness, vulnerability and a bit of magick. I also support folks seeking hormone care planning (Hormone Readiness Assessment) and those who need consultation/supervision as part of their growth as therapists In addition to my work as a counsellor/art therapist, I am also a parent to a pre-schooler, providing loving labour and patience that I find to be way more demanding and difficult than any job I’ve ever held. As an art maker, I enjoy all things creative. Some of my favourite interests include, caring for plants and animals, painting, collaging, cooking, and immersing myself in the alternate worlds of video games.
