Bio: Welcome! I appreciate your courage for landing here today. I am a second-generation Chinese Canadian immigrant and my heart lies in mental health work within the bicultural diaspora surrounding life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, adhd, loss/grief, people-pleasing tendencies, codependency, childhood adversities, identity exploration, emotional regulation and relationship challenges. My lived experience helps me empathize with the complexities of balancing personal and collective needs. If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unseen, my hope is to provide a space where you can feel validated and safe being human.

As a counsellor, my role would be to explore your story – who you are, what you come from, and where you want your story to go next. Together, we will be curious and compassionate as we discover your inner beliefs and strengths, and reclaim your connection with yourself. Though we can’t change our history, we can change our relationship with it.

My counselling approach is gentle, warm, transparent, and authentic. I model healthy emotional expression and communication in my practice to help clients nurture theirs. My priority is to provide a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients, so they can be vulnerable, honest, and open. I speak casually in sessions to provide a genuine, normal, comfortable environment.

I don’t believe that one size fits all – people are unique in their personalities, values, and experiences, and my clients are experts of who they are and what they hope to bring to counselling. I work collaboratively with them because I know that humans are incredibly resilient, and that before they even enter my office, they’ve already come far in life and carry inner wisdom and resources.

If you felt connected to or curious about anything I have shared, feel free to book a consultation call with me to chat! Finding a counsellor that you vibe well with may be the toughest part, but you’re already here and you deserve to feel proud of yourself for making this step.,Welcome!
