Bio: Hi there! My name is Sana (Sun-Uh). I’m a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I identify as a Pakistani-Canadian, able-bodied, cis woman. I use a combination of my lived and professional experience to support BIPOC folks in therapy. I like to provide emotional space, humour, and ask reflective questions that will get your brain working a little harder. Clients often say to me: “Wow, that is a good question! Let me think about this for a minute.” I also practice from a person-in-environment approach. I analyze and take into consideration of systemic factors that may be impacting your overall well-being. I also provide queer, gender, and neurodivergent affirming care and implement a disability justice approach in my therapeutic practice. My philosophy about therapy is that you are always in the driver’s seat while I am in the passenger seat. You are the expert of your own life, but you may need some extra help to get to your destination. I will support you by offering new therapeutic perspectives, coping strategies, and empathy along the way.
