Bio: I am a registered social worker and psychotherapist offering online therapy for adults in Ontario, Canada. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care for individuals experiencing life transitions, emotional challenges, and identity shifts. I work with individuals navigating migration, identity challenges, cultural adjustment, social isolation and belonging, family conflict, intergenerational dynamics, and relationship challenges. I provide support for those dealing with depression, anxiety, and social anxiety. As an IFHP provider in Canada, I also offer therapy and psychological assessment reports for refugee claimants in Ontario. Therapy sessions for refugee claimants are directly billed through Medavie Blue Cross. I bring lived and professional experience from Canada, Pakistan, and the UK, and I understand the nuances of navigating multiple cultures, identities, and value systems. As a South Asian therapist, I value the ways in which race, gender, class, family, migration, and other structures intersect and impact our emotional and mental health. I offer sessions in English, Urdu, and Hindi, and aim to make therapy feel accessible and culturally grounded for those who may not have felt seen in traditional spaces. My therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative. I draw from various evidence-based modalities and tailor each session to meet your unique needs, pacing, and goals — whether you’re seeking insight, coping strategies, emotional healing, or clarity through change. At the core of my practice is the belief that therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered in your journey towards healing and growth. I aim to hold space with care, curiosity, and compassion. If you’re interested in starting therapy or want to learn more, feel free to reach out at rudaina@rstherapy.ca.
