• Trauma and family dynamics, particularly within Asian families, with a focus on identity and purpose
• Life transitions, including career changes, relocation, and relationship shifts
I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
I have over a decade of experience in the health and wellness field as an acupuncturist, yoga teacher, crisis line volunteer, and craniosacral therapist.
I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities. I am keen to support clients from all backgrounds, especially those who identify as Asian and, more broadly, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour).
I use somatically oriented therapies with an emotionally focused and attachment-based lens in sessions. Over the years, I have helped clients dealing with many complex lived experiences, including anxiety, depression, personal and collective grief, loss, fertility issues, challenging family dynamics, low self-esteem and self-worth and existential concerns. I have also supported people seeking purpose in their lives.
Other areas I have experience in include:
– Family of origin issues
– Depression, Anxiety and feeling Overwhelmed
– Relationship breakdown
– Loneliness and social isolation
– Climate and ecological grief
– Spiritual bereftness and more…
I have studied directly with Dr. Diane Poole Heller, Patti Elledge, Sue Johnson, Deb Dana, Dr. Peter Levin, Stan Tatkin and other senior SE faculty.
*Please note that I can only see clients who reside in Canada.
