My name is Nazanin Moghadami نازنین مقدمی and I’m a Kurdish-Iranian immigrant living on unceded lands in Burnaby.
My practice is grounded in my lived experience as a racialized woman navigating family dynamics, sexuality, identity and life in Canada, as well as anti-oppression and socially just principles. I have training in somatic, narrative, EMDR, feminist and CBT approaches (I use parts of EMDR, but if you’re looking for an EMDR practitioner, I don’t practice step-by-step or the eye-movement part of EMDR).
I have supported folks navigating relationships, trauma, sexual and other forms of physical violations, racial injustice, gender and sexuality, displacement & migration and conflict.
I can also offer support accessing gender affirming care by providing Hormone Readiness Assessment and top surgery Surgery Readiness Assessment.
I also accept IFHP insurance for refugee and refugee claimants.
For availability, or if you have any questions or would like more information, please send me a message.
