Bio: As a first-generation immigrant, Black, and Muslim woman, I deeply understand how identity shapes the way we experience the world. I’m deeply passionate about working with BIPOC communities because I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating systemic oppression, cultural expectations, and identity struggles. I approach my work with a strong focus on anti-racism and anti-oppression, ensuring that your experiences are honored and that we work together to create meaningful, positive change. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly heard, respected, and empowered to be your authentic self without fear of judgment. As a psychotherapist-in-training, I practice from a strengths-based approach which means we’ll explore not only the strengths you’re already aware of, but also the qualities and resilience that may be hidden or underutilized. We’ll build on these strengths to create positive change and healing, helping you move forward in ways that are uniquely yours. Who you are as a person is so much more than the challenges you’ve faced. It’s about the essence of who you are—the strength, resilience, and growth you’ve shown as you’ve overcome adversity. If you’re feeling unsure or hesitant, let’s connect for a free consultation. Together, we can explore whether we’re the right fit.
