A bit about me:
I am a Biracial, Queer, Neurodivergent counsellor and registered social worker, who is eager to work alongside folks, co-creating safety within their healing journey. The past eight years in the mental health and social work fields have deepened my passion for supporting individuals and relationships from an anti-oppressive, sex positive and trauma-informed lens.
Offering services in Vancouver, BC on stolen xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) land, I specializes in supporting individuals in the 2SLGBTQIA+, Neurodivergent and Disabled communities, as well as racial and cultural identity development. I feel honoured to hold space for those who have experienced severe trauma (sexual, gender-based, racialized, workplace, systems, and healthcare) and those who witness trauma in helping professions. Care and understanding for those who have gone through complex systems such as “child welfare.” I am also happy to support adults and youth struggling with burnout, major life transitions, self-criticism/shame, as well as racial and cultural identity development.
What to expect:
My approach is emotion focused, somatic, IFS/parts and attachment based. My holistic counselling style invites folks to explore their unique stories and experiences, drawing upon their wisdom and strength within vulnerability.
You can expect that I’ll show up in session with authenticity and humility, honouring the therapeutic relationship. From a lens of intersectionality, I look to work alongside the multiply marginalised and those looking to reclaim their right to take up space.
For couples & non-traditional/privately defined relationship structures:
Rachelle is delighted to work with individuals, couples, and folks in relationships of all shapes. She looks forward to creating a sex-positive space; warmly welcoming folks who are interested/exploring or engaged in polyamory, monogamy, non-monogamy, sex work, and kink-centered relationships.
If you are someone who has ever felt like they don’t belong, can’t keep up, or have felt shame or guilt for your self-expression, experiences or interests, we may be a good match.
