Bio: Welcome—I’m so grateful you’re here 🙂 My name is Amenda, and I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from UBC and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from SFU. I hold deep admiration for those who walk the courageous path of self-discovery—those who are reclaiming their stories, finding their voices, and stepping fully into their authenticity. As an Indo-Fijian woman, I feel a profound connection to my fellow people of color and an immense reverence for First Nations communities. I am continually inspired by the resilience of those who have endured systemic oppression, and I cherish the beauty of the LGBTQ+ community as they embrace and express their true selves. To me, this journey is sacred. With years of experience in governmental, criminal justice, non-profit, and private sectors, I understand the complexities of navigating systems that weren’t built for everyone. My approach to therapy is gentle, open-hearted, and non-judgmental. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and celebrated—where healing is not just about surviving, but about fully embodying the person you were always meant to be. I work from a strengths-based and person-centered approach, tailoring our work together to honor your lived experiences, cultural identity, and personal values. Healing is not linear, and there is no one “right” way to move through it—only what feels true for you. As someone who has personally found transformation through therapy, I believe in the power of collaboration, self-awareness, and radical self-acceptance. My work is grounded in cultural humility, ethical care, and an unwavering commitment to honoring your unique journey. If you are ready to step further into your authenticity, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Your story is powerful, and your existence is worthy of love, reverence, and joy.
