Bio: Hi, I’m Husain; a trauma focused Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I have decades of experience working in Public Health Clinics (Vancouver) + Private Practice + Front-line support roles. I am an active Protestor/Activist in my community.

I work with folks who have complex experiences with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma (PTSD & Complex PTSD) and Addictions. Some of my clients experience suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or even physical brain injuries (TBI or ABI). I also support individuals recovering from assault or injury through the provincial ICBC and CVAP programs.

My work uses EMDR (advanced trainings), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Polyvagal (somatic) techniques. The goal is to reconnect your body and mind into one system. My focus is to build safety, confidence and relief in your day-to-day life. My overall approach is deeply trauma-rooted, relational, and anti-oppressive.

In our work together, you can expect deep collaboration, compassion & a process that encourages growth, insight, and resilience. Most of my clients notice meaningful change within the first few sessions. They report feeling more grounded, self-aware, and able to respond to life’s challenges with increased clarity and strength.
