Add your profile to our directory and help the community find you!

Peer Consultation Groups

Peer consultation cohorts dedicated to supporting our listed practitioners in their practice. These cohorts will be supervised and facilitated by experienced BIPOC supervisors. Registration is free and open to all our listed practitioners. Space is limited so sign up now to receive cohort intake announcements!

Monthly Community Connects

Monthly events open to all paid members of Healing in Colour’s therapist directory. These events are facilitated by HiC team members and offer space to explore how we can live into our values through our work, support each other through the difficult intersections of what we do, and build the communities of practice that we’re longing for.

Access to our Healing in Colour private Facebook group

Keep the connection going with our private Facebook group. Building connection is hard within the field but sometimes harder as anti-oppressive BIPOC counsellors. Let’s lean on one another for knowledge, referrals, resources and connection.

For Black Practitioners

For Black practitioners, the sliding scale ranges from $15 – $45 / month

This expanded sliding scale recognizes the added systemic barriers faced by those who are targeted by anti-Blackness.

For Indigenous* Practitioners

* First Nations, Métis, and Inuit

For Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) practitioners, the sliding scale ranges from $0 – $45/month

We are offering this scale, including a free option, to Indigenous practitioners specifically because:

  • We recognize the added systemic barriers faced by the Indigenous peoples of these lands, who are living under the anti-Indigenous violence of settler colonialism.
  • We recognize that Healing in Colour was founded by settlers and operates on stolen land, and therefore has a unique responsibility to Indigenous communities.

Testimonials

from therapists listed on our directory

Michelle Wing, RSW MSW RCC

British Columbia

“I’ve had the privilege of calling in clients from the Healing in Colour directory early in my private practice. Not one did the directory contribute largely to the growth of my practice but connected folk that were seeking exactly what I had to offer. From a community perspective, it has been a wonderful resource to direct folk for further services and referrals. Thank you Healing in Colour for creating a well-needed QTBIPOC resource.”

Jacklyn M.

Ontario

“Healing in Colour is a hugely important resource. I work as a virtual care RN with clients from across Canada. So much of what I do focuses on helping people access mental health support – often for the first time, after unpleasant/traumatic experiences with care providers. It is always my honour and my joy to recommend Healing in Colour and it has been received with such relief and hope by my clients. If you have the ability to support this cause, please do.”

Thoko Moyo, RCC

British Columbia

“I started my independent practice in 2020 as a Black Queer therapist  looking to support members of my community. Without a doubt    Healing in Colour has been the catalyst to my practice growing the way it has over the last 2 years. Healing in Colour has been my primary source of advertising and is the only therapist directory that I am connected to. Healing in Colour serves as an inherent virtual safe and brave space for potential clients to search for the therapists of colour who practice from an anti-oppressive perspective. The mission and values of Healing in Colour are exactly in alignment with how I practice as a therapist. I could not have been more grateful and happy to have found a resource like this to be a part of”
